The Administrative Major is responsible for all support functions of the Sheriff’s Office. His duties specifically include overseeing Special Operations, Civil Process, Court Services, Communications, Warrant, Crime Analysis and Training Sectionsof the Sheriff’s Office.

The Civil Process Division is responsible for serving orders, civil papers and subpoenas, including FiFa’s writs of possession and other judicial papers. Civil Process servers also provide a daily log of service of court related papers and record keeping of assigned vehicle and equipment and their maintenance.

Court Services: Captain James Defoe (478) 621-6452
Court Services provide law enforcement security for the courthouse and courtroom. Court Services are also responsible for transporting prisoners for court related appearances and maintaining vehicle and prisoner transport records.
